Egret's Breakfast
I enjoy making images of birds especially when I catch one doing a simple behavior as feeding.

White egrets are skilled hunters, particularly adept at feeding in shallow waters. Using their long legs, they wade silently, stalking fish, frogs, insects, and small crustaceans with keen eyesight. Their primary hunting method, "bill stabbing," involves quickly spearing prey with their sharp beaks. When feeding, egrets often raise their feathers in a behavior known as "mantling." This helps create shade, reducing water glare and making prey easier to spot. Additionally, the raised feathers make the egret appear larger, potentially startling prey into movement. This combination of stealth, patience, and quick reflexes makes white egrets efficient predators in shallow water environments.
