Which Way

A solitary car waits under the pandemic’s eerie silence, caught between a choice to turn left or right in a deserted downtown Los Angeles. I made this image looking for something other than a vacant street.

Which Way In the crib feelin' trapped, got this lockdown on lock, Glued to the screen, tick-tock, tick-tock. Left, right straight ahead all a dead-end street, Plans got shredded, life’s put on delete. Staring at the walls, feeling the frustration, Covid came through, stole my foundation. Can't hit the gym, can’t catch a movie, Life's on pause, it's far from groovy. Angry at the walls, angry at the ceiling, Locked down emotions got me numb, no feeling. Which way to turn, left right straight ahead it's a maze, Caught in a daze, these lockdown days. Every day’s the same, Groundhog's playing a game, Wanna scream out loud, break free, reclaim. Freedom's just a word in the dictionary, Reality's harsh, it's more than contrary.
